Picturesque Moelan sur Mer is on the South West Brittany coast just south of Concarneau and Pont Aven.

This is a superb holiday area - the coast here alternates between the fine sandy beaches of Kerfany les Pins and Trenez nestling between rocky headlands, with wild secluded rocky coves, secluded wooded inlets and river estuaries of Bélon, Brigneau, Merrien, providing safe harbours and ideal sailing, low headlands providing excellent coastal walks.

Add to this sighteseeing in Pont Aven, the "ville fermee" in Concarneau and medieval Quimper . Do visit the small fishing port of Trevignon where fresh fish is landed and sold on the quayside each afternoon, and spend the day on the beautiful stretches of beaches around Trevignon.

Forest Fousenant and Benodet also have excellent beaches, wild stretches of coastline and interesting towns and harbours. We particuarly like the beach at Beg Meil.

Dont forget to sample crepes and gallettes (savoury pancakes made from Buckwheat flour), Breton biscuits, cider and locally grown vegetables - especially globe archichokes and - if you get a chance.visit a Fez Noz - Breton folklore festival with dancing and food

Further afield is Morgat and the Crozan peninsula where you can sample the Atlantic surf.
