This is the place for surfing, kite boarding etc or just playing in the sand.
The village itself is charming with its white washed houses and narrow streets leading to the square dominated by the church. There are plenty of shops of all kinds, including the umbiquous bike hire shop, and a good selection of cafes and restaurants.
The Tourist Office in the village will help you organise boat trips or any other excursions.
La Courade is also ideally placed for exploring the rest of the island, being mid way up the Atlantic coast , at the narrowest point . It is only a few kms to La Flotte on the other coast, and if you don't want to use the car or cycle, there is a regular bus service.
